Monsters and Magic!

Welcome back!!

We have a new topic for this half term - Monsters and Magic! Today we read 'The Gruffalo's Child' by Julia Donaldson, and the children drew the 'Big, Bad Mouse'.

Now that we have a class camera, and Mr Thomas has two fully functional arms, we will hopefully post some pictures of the children's work during this term!

Roald Dahl Day!

On Friday (28/9) it was Roald Dahl Day and the children dressed up as characters from Roald Dahl's books. We had Willy Wonka's, along with Charlie, Veronica and Grandpa Joe. We had George, along with his Marvellous Medicine, as well as witches, Fantastic Mr Fox, Mr and Mrs Twit, and Matilda.

We had a fabulous day and the class really enjoyed it!

'Under the Sea!'

Our topic this term is 'Under the Sea' and we have been learning all about sea creatures, reading stories and doing lots of activities all about the sea.

We also had some fabulous ocean scenes that the children did during their summer holidays!

What facts do you know about the seas?
Can you remember any of the stories we have read? If you can, did you have a favourite?

Puppets!

In Art we are learning about puppets, and have looked at all the different kinds of puppets there are around the world!

This video also links in with our 'Fables' topic.

Try and write some words that describe the tortoise and the hare!
(Think about what they do and what they say)
